Hike & hit 1 - The quarry, Auburn SRA, CA - 1/27/19
We had all ages attend our first event; from a 5 year old who was making everyone’s heart skip a beat running around clumsily, to grandparents who lead by example by showing us what it looks like to be comfortable in their own skin while willingly pushing themselves outside of their comfort zone. Moral of the story, don’t ever stop learning and don’t ever care what others think of you. Keeping doing you boo.
The Quarry Trail in the Auburn SRA runs alongside the Middle Fork of the American River. This was shot just shortly past 7am on a Sunday morning showcasing the fog gingerly navigating its way across. On our way to the top of the Quarry, we stopped at Hawver Cave, imagined the remains of a limestone ore processing station as a Castle, and stood in awe at the magnificence of the Cave Valley more known as the Climbing Area.
